Flooding in Cherokee County, Summer 2010.The last Presidential Disaster Declaration received by the State of Iowa was on Oct. 31, 2016. Currently, Iowa has 17 "open" disasters. This means that some projects being funded as a result of these Presidentially-declared disasters are ongoing and still being managed by Iowa HSEMD.
